Open Access Policy

Immediate Open Access

Cybersecurity: Education, Science, Technique provides immediate open access to all published content. Articles are available online free of charge from the date of publication, without an embargo period and without requiring readers to register.

The journal supports the principle that free access to research promotes the wider exchange of knowledge and follows the general principles of the Budapest Open Access Initiative.

User Rights and Licence

Unless otherwise indicated, articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International Licence (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).

Under this licence, users may:

  • share - copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format;
  • adapt - remix, transform, and build upon the material for non-commercial purposes.

Users must:

  • give appropriate credit to the author or authors;
  • cite the original publication in this journal;
  • provide a link to the licence;
  • indicate whether changes were made;
  • distribute adapted material under the same licence.

Users may not apply legal terms or technological measures that restrict others from exercising the rights granted by the licence. Rights in third-party material, personal data, trademarks, or content explicitly excluded from the Creative Commons licence may require separate permission.

Copyright and Author Rights

Authors retain copyright in their work and grant the journal a non-exclusive right of first publication. Authors may share and deposit their manuscript and the published Version of Record in accordance with the journal's Copyright, Licensing and Deposit Policy.

Diamond Open Access

The journal does not charge readers for access and does not charge authors for submission, editorial processing, peer review, publication, or DOI registration.

Preservation and Archiving

The journal is committed to the long-term accessibility of its scholarly record. Published articles and metadata are preserved through the journal's OJS platform, the institutional infrastructure of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University, and deposit with the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine.

The journal exposes metadata through OAI-PMH to support interoperability with repositories, libraries, and scholarly discovery services.

Research Data and Supplementary Materials

The journal encourages authors to make the data, code, protocols, and other materials necessary to verify or reproduce their findings as openly available as legal, ethical, contractual, security, and confidentiality requirements permit.

Where possible, research outputs should be deposited in a trusted subject-specific or general-purpose repository, such as Zenodo, and linked to the article using a persistent identifier. The article should include a Data Availability Statement explaining where the supporting material can be accessed or why access is restricted.

Authors should apply the FAIR principles by making research data findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable where appropriate.
